Dr. Seeton spent the first 11 years of his career as a career and technical education teacher and coach in Alvarado ISD, Katy ISD and Crowley ISD. Four years ago, he became a career and technical education administrator as the Dean of Students at Bill R. Johnson Career and Technology Center in Crowley ISD. For the previous 3.5 years, Dr. Seeton has worked as the CTE Director in the White Settlement Independent School District. Jeff received a Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington in May 2017.

His major area of interest is the effects of career and technical education on the secondary schooling experience. Additionally, he is interested in the role that career and technical education plays in mitigating success for historically marginalized populations. Dr. Seeton aspires to provide all school children economically viable options that lead to becoming productive citizens when they graduate high school, whether they choose to attend college, enter the workforce, or both.
