Senior Communication - May 14, 2026
Attendance is mandatory on the following days.
Monday, May 18
Senior Breakfast in Cafe Courtyard, 9-11 a.m.
- Park in the band parking lot.
Senior Scholarship & Awards Ceremony in Gym, 6 to 7 p.m.
- (Not a mandatory event; Honorees received invitations. Enter through main doors.)
Tuesday, May 19
District Graduate March & Senior Signs
- Students must report to the band parking lot by 7:30 a.m. to load buses. Buses will depart promptly.
- Seniors will wear cap & gown with tennis shoes (do not wear stole or tassel). Wear shorts, t-shirts and comfy clothes. It may be hot.
- Bring a water bottle.
Senior signs will be available on Clifford Street near Veterans Park after the Graduate March. Please do not take signs that do not belong to you.
Wednesday, May 20
Senior Panoramic Photo in Gym, 8:45 a.m.
- Wear Brewer blue shirt. Do not wear your cap and gown.
- Enter through Door 8 (gym entrance facing football field, not main door)
- Students not here by 8:45 a.m. will not be included in photo
Cords & Collars Celebration in Gym, 10:30 a.m.
For a faster sign-in experience and to accommodate seating, guests should pre-register no later than Tuesday, May 19 at 12 p.m. Failing to pre-register may result in delayed entry into the event.
School officials may not receive final grades from TCC for dual credit courses by the May 20 event, so final class ranking may not be finalized in time for the ceremony. The Top 10 percent MAY not be announced at the celebration.

Thursday, May 21
Graduation Practice
- Report to the BHS band parking lot by 8:30 a.m.
- Do not wear cap and gown.
Graduation at Dickies Arena, 7 p.m.

Students should arrive at Dickies by 6 p.m.
Doors for students open at 5:30; doors for parents and guests open at 6 p.m.
Parking: Dickies - $20; Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum - $15
Friday, May 22 - No school for Seniors
Students will now receive their diplomas after graduation on Thursday night, so they will no longer report to school on Friday, May 22.

Senior Days & Event Schedule - Last 2 weeks of school
This year, Brewer High School will host two celebratory events, a Scholarship and Awards Ceremony at 6 p.m. Monday, May 18 and a Cords and Collars Celebration at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 20. These events will replace our previous Senior Declaration and Awards Night and continue the tradition in a new and meaningful way. School officials will not receive final grades from TCC for dual credit courses by the May 18 event, so final class ranking cannot be tallied in time for the May 18 ceremony.
The May 18 Scholarship and Awards Ceremony will be by invitation only and recognize seniors who are receiving scholarships as well as those who have enlisted in the military.
During the May 20 Cords and Collars Celebration, members of the National Honor Society will receive their collars. Seniors who earned one or more of the following cords will also be recognized:
- Top 10 percent of the senior class. The Valedictorian and Salutatorian will be announced.
- CTE (completed their CTE program of study and earned an Industry-Based Certification (IBC).
- CCMR. A CCMR cord is awarded to students who: earned 9 college credits and/or earned 3 college credits in English Language Arts or Math; or completed 1 On Ramps course and qualified for at least 3 college credit hours.
- Students may also earn the cord by achieving specific test scores in both English and math in any combination of the following:
- TSIA2: 945+ in reading and 5+ on essay; 945+ in reading, 5+ on the essay, and 950+ in math
- SAT: 480+ in reading; 530+ in math
- ACT: 40+ combined English/Reading; 22+ in math
- AP: Score of 3 or higher on any AP exam
- Texas College Bridge: Complete the English course, pass the essay, and complete the math course
- Senior Declaration (provided documentation of pursuing post-secondary education).
- Military Enlistment (recipients will receive their collars from their military branch of service representatives at the May 18 event and also be announced at the Cords and Collars Celebration).
The Cords and Collars Celebration will be livestreamed for families who are unable to attend.
Parent Letters will be handed out at the end of the Cords and Collars Celebration. Letters must be dropped off in the Brewer High School front office no later than 4 p.m. May 14. No emails will be accepted.

Submissions will be reviewed every Friday.
Cap Requirements:
- Cap decorations cannot contain any references to alcohol, drugs, or any inappropriate content.
- No 3-D decorations, lights, boas, or any decorations that hang off the edge of the top of the cap.(please see pictures below for examples)
- Decorating is limited to the top of the cap only. (please see pictures below for examples)
- Any cap that was not approved or does not meet guidelines will be replaced with a plain cap prior to the ceremony.
